The rifles in great condition, has been stored in a cabinet since Ive had it, and is very accurate. The gentleman I bought the rifle from, in about 1990, said he thought it was built in the early to mid 60s, but wasnt sure. When I bought it, it had less than 100 rounds through it, so it may have 250 rounds total through it now.
![]() I spent a little time searching on-line for the manufacture dates, but with only limited success, as the information in various sources was inconsistent. ![]() If you Google Rossi 62 SA rifle manufacture date, or some such, you will probably come up with all the same info. If I remember correctly, one source said that the rifles were initially sold here by Rossi, and later imported by Interarms, which would be consistent with your low SN rifle not showing any connection with Iterarms. Sorry I cant be more definitive. My Rossi 62 SAC (carbine), SN G152xxx, Interarms stamped, my Dad bought it for me new 1977-78, so Id guess a manufacture date of 1976 or so. I re-checked the rifle as I was working from a gunlist I keep. ![]() Also has Firearms International Corp., Washington, D.C., which I assume is the original importer. Guess Ill just keep my eyes open and hopefully something will pop up down the line.
